What you can find?

We provide effective solutions for almost all of the issues that commonly many consumers face. Some of them are:

Are you experiencing an printer offline error? It occurs when your printer is unable to communicate with your computer. When connected to a computer, printers work independently. This error can be caused by several different things, such as a connection issue, a driver issue, a faulty cable, or a problem with the printer itself. To fix this error, you will need to troubleshoot the issue to determine the root cause and then take action to resolve it.

It is also important to fix the printer offline error quickly with the below-mentioned methods. It helps you get your printer online again, and you can use it perfectly.

Attach Your Printer With Ethernet Cable

You must use an Ethernet cable if your printer appears offline on the wireless network. There is an Ethernet port on every printer. Computers are required to connect to it.

You can restart your printer once you see the printer name in the “Printers & Scanners” section of your system’s control panel. Once you restart your printer, you can also use it again. Here you can check whether the issue of the printer’s offline error is solved or not.

Review the Printer Status

There is also a chance that you set the printer status offline so it shows the printer offline error. The default setting for your printer cannot be offline.

You usually encounter this problem after buying a new printer or using one for the first time. To change the status of your printer, navigate to “Printers & Scanners” and click on the printer name to open its settings. Default sets the printer status to “offline”; click the button to change it. After changing the status of the printer then check the issue of the printer’s offline error is solved or not.

Check WiFi Network Connectivity

An Internet connection is required for your printer. It is also important to connect your printer and computer to the same Wi-Fi network. This is necessary for the printer to be able to communicate with the computer. Without a connection, the printer won’t be able to receive the documents that you want to print or any commands from the computer. Check your Wi-Fi network password and reconnect the printer to the network if you are still experiencing offline problems.

Update the Printer Driver

“Printer not responding” messages can be caused by outdated printer drivers. By installing the latest printer drivers, you can fix that problem.

You can do this by using Device Manager. Your printer’s driver will be downloaded by Windows. The latest driver can always be downloaded directly from the manufacturer’s website if that doesn’t work. When the process of updating the printer driver is complete, the problem is automatically fixed.

Uninstall & Reinstall the Printer Driver

You need to reinstall printer drives if none of the above methods work. There is a need to uninstall the drivers and install them again so the printer offline error is solved.

Download and install the printer driver according to your printer model on the Internet. This step helps you solve the issue quickly.

WiFi printers are printers that can connect to a wireless network and allow users to print documents from any device connected to the network, without having to physically connect the printer to the device. This is beneficial because it eliminates the need for cables, making setup and printing far more convenient and allowing users to print documents from anywhere in the home or office. It is also crucial for you to know the proper method to connect the printer to wifi. Here you can check out the different ways to connect printer to wifi.

Attach To Wireless Network

A printer screen displays instructions for setting up a wireless connection when turned on. You can set up the wireless connection later if you don’t configure it during the setup process. In the printer’s menu, locate the wireless setup wizard and follow the instructions.

Wi-Fi Auto-Connect

There is an easy-to-use feature that appears on most printers. Using it is possible if you already have a wireless network set up on your computer. This feature is known as wireless printing, and it allows you to send documents from your computer to the printer without having to connect the printer to your computer with a physical cable.

By selecting Wi-fi Auto-Connect, the printer looks at the network your computer is connected to and then connects itself to the Wi-Fi network using this information. In less than a minute, you can connect, and it only takes one click.

Using WPS Button

The printer’s network menu includes an option for Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) if it’s compatible with both the printer and router. WPS is an industry standard that lets devices connect without entering a password. It’s designed to make connecting devices to a network simpler and more secure.

To pair your printer with your router, simply press the WPS pairing button on your router. By doing this, you can connect the printer wirelessly.

Connecting Using a Network Key or PIN

You’ll probably need to enter a ‘network key’ if your printer doesn’t support WPS. To establish a connection between your printer and router, the printer uses its function buttons and screen. In this case, the printer will display a code on its screen, which you will then have to enter on the router’s network key field. This establishes the connection between the two devices and allows you to print wirelessly.

You’ll find the router’s network key in its documentation, or on the router itself if you haven’t changed the password since. The router’s network key is a unique code associated with the router, and it can be found in the documentation that came with the router, or on the router itself if it hasn’t been changed since it was first set up. It is used to access the router’s settings and configure it accordingly.

Many issues cause the printer not responding, including a problem with the power or connection cables, or a problem with the printer driver. It can also be an issue with the printer itself, such as a paper jam or an empty ink cartridge. Sometimes, the printer might be out of order and need servicing.

In addition, some printers may require a firmware update or have a software bug that needs to be fixed. These issues can prevent the printer from operating properly and cause it to produce low-quality prints. You can check out the below steps to fix the printer not responding.

Check Network Printer Setup Status

There are several aspects of your printer’s status that you can check to see if it is connected to a network at your workplace. Connecting the printer to the network and the computer to the network, for example. As well, make sure the printer is set as “Default” in the system settings, and check Wi-Fi.

A “printer not responding” error can also occur if you don’t set it as the default printer. If the printer is not set as your default printer, the computer may not be able to recognize it correctly, leading to a “printer not responding” error. This is because the computer will be looking for the default printer, and if it does not find it, it can’ able to communicate with the printer.

Check the Printer’s USB Cable Connection

Using an Ethernet cable for printing is possible, but a problematic Ethernet cable or a loose connection may cause your printer to become unresponsive. Ethernet cables are designed to transmit data at a specific speed, and if the connection is not optimal, it can result in the printer not being able to process the data quickly enough, leading to unresponsiveness.

The ethernet cable is tightly connected at both ends. You may be able to fix your printer not responding issue by replacing the USB cable if it was faulty. Ethernet cables are typically more reliable than USB cables because they have thicker, more secure connectors at either end. This makes them less prone to coming loose, which can cause the printer to stop responding.

Re-Add Your Printer to Your PC

When you are facing a printer not responding it is essential to re-add your printer to your laptop or printer. Navigate to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners by clicking the Start button.

From the list, find and select your printer, then click “Remove device” and “Yes.” To re-add your printer, navigate to Printers & Scanners, click Add a Printer or Scanner, and follow the on-screen instructions.

By removing the device, you are resetting it, which can often resolve any connection issues you may be having. Re-adding your printer will allow the device to re-establish a connection with your computer, and you can use it again.

Update the Printer’s Device Driver

An outdated printer driver can cause the error message “printer not responding.” You can fix this problem by updating your printer drivers.

Device Manager is the easiest way to do this. Your printer will be automatically detected by Windows, and it will download a suitable driver. It is always possible to download the latest driver directly from the manufacturer’s website if that doesn’t work.
